Join us in the library to hear Esther Goldenberg introduce The Scrolls of Deborah, her captivating historical novel-midrash on Genesis that has earned starred reviews. Told from the perspective of Deborah, Rebekah's handmaid, Scrolls transports readers to the ancient world and offers new insights into familiar biblical tales and characters. Goldenberg, a long-time Jewish Educator, will share her enthusiasm for sacred texts and the spaces they leave open for midrash. Copies of the novel will be available for purchase by cash or check.
