2025 Summer Subsidies Application – DUE January 13, 2025
Adas Israel will again be offering Summer Subsidies! Adas Israel is honored to support the efforts of parents in creating positive Jewish memories and experiences for our youth. Anyone who is going to Jewish Day Camps, Overnight Camps, GAP year programs or Israel Programs and is an Adas Israel member in good standing is eligible for this subsidy. Deadline to apply is January 13, 2025. Please allow 4 weeks after the January 15 deadline to appropriate funds

Adamah Adventure Camp
At Adamah Adventure Camp, explore 180+ acres of farm and forest, take care of our chickens and sheep, stay cool in our three pools and splash pad, play in the creek, practice fire and shelter-building, identify wild edible plants, tend and harvest in our educational garden, try our three-story high ropes course, zipline across the lake, and become protectors of the Earth with Jewish wisdom as a guide. Built upon 100 years of experience and tradition, Camps Airy & Louise provides Jewish children with a fun, creative and adventurous summer experience that promotes self-growth, leadership, and a positive sense of Jewish identity – all while making friendships that last a lifetime.
Camp Avoda
There are many Jewish Summer camps, but there’s only one Camp Avoda. We are Located on the beautiful Lake Tispaquin in Middleboro, MA, just about an hour South of Boston. At camp, our balanced program doesn’t just define what we do – it’s what we are. Over 90 years strong of brotherhood, leadership, spirit, and tradition. Our campers experience new adventures, take risks, practice Jewish values and best of all be themselves.
Camp Barney Medintz
Camp Barney Medintz has provided the most magical Jewish summer overnight camping adventure for boys and girls for six decades! Surrounded by more than 500 acres in the picturesque North Georgia mountains, Camp Barney Medintz campers experience the magic of summer camp and the joy of making lifelong friends while challenging themselves with new activities and gaining self-confidence and independence that will benefit them for a lifetime. Along the way, each and every day, they develop and solidify their connection to their Jewish identity. Camp Barney Medintz is truly Our Summer Place.
Camp Barney offers 1-week, 2-week, and 4-week options throughout the summer. The four-week sessions are available for campers completing 2nd through 10th grade. The two-week sessions are available for campers completing 2nd through 7th grade. The one-week option, CBM Experience, is available for campers completing 1st through 3rd grade. We offer a Staff In Training program for campers completing 11th grade. Campers are divided into age groups, or Units, based on the grade they have most recently completed.

Camp Poyntelle
Camp Poyntelle has been making children’s summer dreams come true since 1947. As a premier Jewish summer camp, we offer a traditional sleepaway experience filled with amazing memories, lasting friendships, and nurturing and compassionate staff. We feel that camp is one of the few places a child can be their own person, without judgment or social pressure. Our intentional community is designed to allow kids to be kids, in a low-key, fun, and inclusive environment.
Camp Ramah New England
Camp Ramah New England is an overnight Jewish summer camp located in Palmer, Massachusetts for kids and teens. Our co-ed summer camp program welcomes children from across New England, the greater Washington, DC area, Virginia, as well as parts of Maryland and New York. For over 60 years, Ramah New England campers have shared unforgettable summers filled with learning, lasting friendships, and a love of being Jewish.

Camp Zeke
Camp Zeke is the first and only overnight summer camp where kids and teens celebrate healthy, active living through cooking, fitness, sports, and arts in a joyful Jewish environment. Our youngest campers travel with their bunks and rotate through all our activities, while our older campers choose electives based on their interests; with every passing year, campers have more choice in their day. So whether you want to cook spectacular dishes, perform in a circus arts show, lift weights in a full gym, zen out in yoga, play sports, or join a swim class, you can create your perfect day at Camp Zeke. The vast majority of our campers, who range in age from 7 to 17, come back summer after summer and grow up at camp.
Capital Camps
Capital Camps is all about providing children a fun, safe, experience. We utilize the best practices of informal Jewish education to strengthen identity, to instill values and to build community. Every summer, children and staff create a community that touches hearts, souls and minds. Village life is where friendships are formed and individuals become a “cabin family”. We are proud of our sports, arts, aquatics, and outdoor adventure, nature and farm programs. The combinations of typical days and special programs equal a fun packed summer experience!
Fall Tours at Capital Camps: Sunday, December 15
All tours are on Sundays from 2-4pm. As we walk around camp, you will see our activity areas, pool, lake, go inside a cabin and into our dining hall. A kosher nut free snack will be served. Please register for one of our dates here and more information will be sent as we get closer to those dates
Emma Kaufmann Camp (EKC)
Emma Kaufmann Camp, the overnight camp of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, has been a home-away-from-home for generations of children and teens. Located 70 miles south of Pittsburgh in the beautiful hills and forests along Cheat Lake in Morgantown, West Virginia, EKC provides the perfect setting for adventures, sports and recreational activities on land and water; the perfect environment for each camper to learn, grow and develop independence, confidence and a sense of self. Founded in 1908, EKC is one of the oldest Jewish overnight camps in the United States. Rich in traditions, EKC is a place where families send their children year after year and generation after generation; where each camper, new and returning, is welcomed as part of an inclusive community.
At EKC, we live Jewish values and traditions. We provide a positive Jewish atmosphere in which all campers are encouraged to explore their feelings of community and spirituality as they experience and learn about Judaic culture, history and tradition. Living Jewishly at EKC encompasses the welcoming tradition of hachnasat orchim, inclusive of children of all backgrounds. Values rooted in our Jewish heritage set the tone for daily life at camp and shape a Jewish vision, inspiring children, staff, parents and alumni. Understanding Jewish values encourages our campers and staff to live more mindfully and to develop strong Jewish identities.
Habonim Dror Camp Moshava
Mosh is a progressive, youth-led overnight camp in Harford County that fosters vibrant Jewish life and a year-round community for children in grades 3-12. Through a unique experiential education model, Mosh empowers campers to explore social justice, Judaism, and self-discovery. Our inclusive environment is rooted in values of equality, community, and personal growth, encouraging campers to connect, learn, and confidently create positive change in the world.
NJY Camps (Camp Nah-Jee-Wah, Cedar Lake Camp, Teen Camp, Round Lake)
NJY Camps is the largest Jewish camp complex in the world, serving more than 7400 participants in our overnight camps, family camps, and visiting groups. On our Milford campus, Camp Nah-Jee-Wah serves boys and girls from grades 1 through 6; Cedar Lake Camp, grades 7 through 9; and Teen Camp, grades 10 through 11. Round Lake Camp is a special needs inclusion program serving children and adolescents with mild autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and social skill disorders.
Turning 103 years old, NJY Camps is built on the longstanding tradition of excellence in Jewish camping. Our program is designed to be fun, age-appropriate and engaging! We provide an extensive range of activities so each camper gains exposure to many different types of experiences/activities. Activity areas include athletics, water sports, arts, outdoor adventure, science, and music & drama. Across our programs, campers participate in 6 activity periods daily, many of which they get to choose themselves from our 25+ electives in Nah-Jee-Wah and 50+ electives in Cedar Lake/Teen Camp.
NJY Camps is set up in such a way that our youngest campers in Camp Nah-Jee-Wah have their own campus and facilities, while our older campers in Cedar Lake & Teen Camp have their own campus and facilities to enjoy as well. This helps to ensure that we deliver on our promise for an exceptional, and age appropriate program for campers of all ages.
To promote a strong sense of camp community among all the campers the entire camp joins together frequently for special events such as Shabbat Services, Fourth of July Fireworks, weekly BBQs, Maccabiah/Color War, and so much more!

Ramah Day Camp Greater DC
At Ramah, we provide children entering grades K-8 with the very best camping experience in a setting of love, friendship, wonder and discovery, and a place where Judaism is integral to daily activities.
Your child’s well-being is our top priority. Our emphasis on camper care distinguishes Ramah as a premier summer experience. We make sure that each camper is safe, happy and secure and that summer will be a time of growth, excitement, learning and fun!
Ramah in the Rockies
We are the country's only Kosher & Shomer Shabbat Outdoor Adventure camp and serve campers going into grades 3-11 for 2 and 4 week sessions. We are located 2 hours from Denver, CO and have campers coming from over 33 States, Canada, Israel and Mexico. Our mission is to nurture the character development of Jewish youth by providing them the opportunity to challenge themselves physically, intellectually, socio-emotionally, and spiritually. We use outdoor living and environmental learning as the vehicle through which we deliver our mission.
Ramah Sports Academy
Come join the fun at Ramah Sports Academy (RSA) this summer! RSA is an overnight summer sports camp for children and teens with a passion for athletics and a desire to elevate all aspects of their game. With experienced coaches, caring role models, state-of-the-art athletic facilities, and a wide range of electives, RSA is the perfect mix of elite sports instruction, joyful community, and inspiring Jewish living.

Sababa Beachaway
Sababa Beachaway is a co-ed residential summer camp for rising fourth through twelfth graders, located in beautiful Virginia Beach, VA. Sababa immerses campers in the magic and majesty of the beach, adds the right amount of spiritual practice, and provides a fun, non-competitive yet challenging camp experience!
Sababa offers several session options ranging from 2 to 6 weeks that invite campers to escape the grind in order to ride the wave, catch the wind, explore the sea, and capture the moment. Whether on a surfboard, in a sailboat, or under the sea, Sababa campers learn exhilarating new skills, build lifelong relationships, grow a stronger sense of self, and stoke an innate spiritual flame.
URJ 6 Points Specialty Camps: Sports Academy, Creative Arts Academy, and Sci-Tech Academy

6 Points Sports Academy: Located in Asheville, NC and founded in 2010, 6 Points Sports Academy was the nation's first Jewish Sports Camp. 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy: Located outside of Boston, MA, curious campers who love to discover new things can learn from the best at our premiere Jewish STEM summer camp! Our staff members guide campers in bringing to life the questions that capture their imaginations. Using a hands-on, project-based approach, campers learn and create in a collaborative environment in one of the following workshops, all taught by experts in their field: Robotics, Video Game Design, Programming & Coding: Javascript, Digital Film Production, Chemistry, Cryptology, Behaviorial Sciences, and Digital Art Lab: Graphic Design. We also have teen leadership programs that focus on leadership in STEM for rising 11th and 12th graders!
6 Points Creative Arts Academy: Located outside of Philadelphia, PA, campers can spend their summer with passionate Jewish campers and professional arts mentors! Campers get to focus on what they love by choosing an arts major to focus their attention on, building skills and exploring new disciplines in a safe, welcoming, fast-paced Jewish environment. Depending on their current grade, options include: Contemporary Theatre, Creative Writing, Dance, Musical Theatre, Instrumental Music Ensemble, Photography, Vocal Music Ensemble, and Visual Arts. USY Trips in North America
USY On Wheels East- for current 7th and 8th graders- USY On Wheel East is a 3.5 week bus trip. Discover your inner wizard with Harry Potter at Universal Studios. Try unique soda flavors at The World of Coca-Cola. Fall in love with America’s favorite pastime at Fenway Park. Experience the magnitude of Niagara Falls and the Great Smoky Mountains. Relax beneath the breezy Savannah trees. Sled down the sands of Jockey’s Ridge.
USY on Wheels – for current 9-11th graders. Classic is USY Summer Experience’s flagship program. Teens from across North America will gather in New Jersey for the journey of a lifetime – traveling from coast-to-coast for six and a half weeks, learning about what it means to live Jewishly across the United States, building community, and making friends and memories that will last forever. From riding a roller coaster in Disneyland, to discovering the beauty of Yellowstone National Park, to creating artistic masterpieces at Cadillac Ranch – USY on Wheels is an incredibly unique, meaningful, and fun way for you to spend your summer.
IMPACT DR - for current 9th-12th graders. This summer, USY is partnering with Cambio Trips in the Dominican Republic. Participants will engage in various community service projects, including teaching English, leading art projects, and facilitating sports games.
GAP Year Programs
Aardvark Israel
Start imagining your year with Aardvark Israel! Choose from four different gap year and semester programs for Jewish students aged 17-21. Immerse yourself in Israel, and strengthen your Jewish Identity and connection to Israel. Live in the heart of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem with young Jews from all over the world, in a customized year of internships, travels, and dynamic learning.
Kivunim
Kivunim is a gap-year program that inspires its program participants to forge a lifelong relationship with Israel and the Jewish People through travel across the world - gaining understanding of Jewish life and history together with that of the many cultures, religions and worldviews amongst whom the Jewish people grew in its 2000 year Diaspora. Our international travels build and deepen Jewish identity within the context of an emerging sense of “world- consciousness” both as Jews and as citizens of the world.
Young Judaea Year Course in Israel
Young Judaea Year Course is a nine month gap year program for teens who have just graduated high school. While on Year Course, participants will be interning in a field of their choice, earning up to a full year's worth of academic credit, taking weekly trips around Israel and connecting with their Jewish peers from around the globe. Year Course provides the opportunity for teens to grow, mature, and become more prepared for college life, as they have the experience of a lifetime!
Tivnu Gap Year program
Tivnu: Building Justice offers the only Jewish gap year program in the U.S.! Tivnu Gap Year participants connect Jewish life and social justice through individualized internships, discover the Pacific Northwest, and create a home together in Portland, Oregon. Whether you spend your year advocating for immigrants’ rights, creating mentorships for LGBTQ kids, building up tiny house villages or cooking for houseless Portlanders, you’ll know you made a difference.
Israel Programs for High Schoolers
Alexander Muss High School in Israel
We are the only pluralist, college prep, fully accredited program where high school students from the United States and across the globe study abroad together. Our Israel Studies curriculum spans Jewish and Israeli history, using the land as the classroom, while our General Studies department provides a multitude of classes at various levels.
TRY - Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim
TRY is the only Jerusalem-based high school academic program open to Jewish youth from North America who are interested in learning about their heritage in a Conservative Jewish setting.
Yallah! Israel
Yallah! Israel is the premier teen travel program by the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), offering unforgettable, immersive journeys through Israel and Europe. With over 60 years of expertise in providing top standards of health, safety, and security, Yallah! Israel is the adventure of a lifetime. Teens explore the land in a way they’ve only dreamed of, forming a tight-knit Jewish community while hiking, discovering, and adventuring with friends from across the globe. The program offers five distinct experiences for Summer 2025, including a European adventure, ensuring participants return with lifelong memories and friendships.
Young Judaea Gesher Israel
Gesher Israel brings rising 11th and 12th graders on an unforgettable 3 week journey through Israel - exploring, learning, and connecting with the Jewish homeland. Throughout the trip, participants will be visiting historic sites, taking in breathtaking landscapes, and learning about Israeli culture. Gesher Israel is an approved trip provider of the RootOne initiative, which provides generous funding to participants wishing to engage in an Israel summer experience!
Yuval Yisrael
Yuval Yisrael’s mission is to make the Israel experience an integral part of the individual’s Jewish journey. Our program allows participants to intimately connect with Israeli society and culture by creating an immersive Jewish experience that speaks to participants of diverse backgrounds. Powered by Ramah Israel and USY, Yuval Yisrael benefits from over six decades of experience designing and running exceptional, safe, and meaningful Israel programs with a focus on building egalitarian Jewish communities. Approaching Israel as a dynamic arena in which various expressions of Judaism intersect, participants engage in both intellectual and experiential exploration of Jewish tradition. Yuval Yisrael encourages the development of a personal understanding of one’s Jewishness and an individually meaningful relationship with Israel and the Jewish people.This program is for current 10th-12th graders.
